Pivot to Active Wellbeing
The leisure industry has considered the ‘pivot to active wellbeing’ to be a core component of its future for several years, and the fundamental principles have been broadly agreed by the full spectrum of providers, commissioners and leaders across the public, private and third sectors.
Despite the industry embracing the concept, the transition to deploying the pivot has not been straightforward. The fundamental issue is that leisure services aren’t equipped with the resources to be able to effectively embed their staff, services and facilities into the wider health and wellbeing landscape as part of a whole system approach.
Likewise, health services are dealing with multiple challenges including staff turnover and a lack of understanding of how leisure services can integrate in the provision of health and wellbeing services.
When combined with a ‘traditional’ cautious approach to commissioning both leisure management contracts and Public Health services, it is challenging for any stakeholder to make clear progress towards the goal of active wellbeing. Until now.
What is needed is an intermediary that understands the unique challenges, opportunities and approaches of each stakeholder, so that collaboration and integration can be developed within the constraints of the current commissioning position.
Our senior management team has over 20 years experience in public and private leisure management across the public and private sectors, from operational team, all the way to Board Member. That same team also has over 10 years experience in bidding for, winning and collaboratively developing and implementing a wide range of Public Health commissioned services.
We are intimately familiar with the challenges and opportunities that sit with leisure, health, communities, the public, private and third sectors and local authorities. We know exactly how to bring the key components together and build the networks, relationships and services required to achieve the pivot. We are uniquely placed to collaboratively develop, deliver and sustain a full transition to active wellbeing that will shape the future of the communities you serve.
We understand the risk that this pivot represents for leisure trusts, and to accommodate this we have developed a phased approach that offers you complete transparency, assurances of progress and the freedom to back out at any stage. We don’t sign off one step and move to the next unless both parties are completely satisfied with the outcomes we’ve agreed in advance.
We operate a flexible pricing structure and payment terms that ensures you get the best value for money and return on investment, based on the unique requirements and circumstances of your business.
